Cycling in Crete: With the bus and the bicycles loaded on our bike truck we experience Crete’s most beautiful mountain areas. At the starting point of each cycling tour the bicycles are unloaded and the tour leader will guide you leisurely down to coastal areas on paved, sometimes slightly ascending roads. A fascinating way to learn more about the landscape, culture and the people of Crete.

- White Mountains
An island cycling crossing with a special quality. This bicycle tour shows us the topography of Crete - the steeply sloping, barren South Coast and the gently sloping, green North Coast - pure downhill cycling fun. We will start the bicycle tour from the ASKIFOU HEIGHTS. As we will be swimming in the LIBYAN SEA, do not forget to bring your bathing costumes! The cycling tour starts in the village of MIRIOKEFALA on the edge of the WHITE MOUNTAINS. After visiting the old town of LAPPA we descend towards the springs of ARGIROUPOLIS. In the KOURNAS LAKE, the only fresh water lake on Crete, we will be swimming (bring swimming attire). The cycling tour ends at GEORGIOUPOLIS. Cycling distance: 39 km / incl. 32 km downhill - Psiloritis
The country and its people: From the IDA HEIGHTS on the PSILORITIS, the highest mountain on Crete, we start an unforgettable cycling experience - 38 km downhill! This bicycle descent from 1.450 m above sea level shows us the incomparable character of the landscape and vegetation of this "island of mountains". This COMBINED CYCLING AND HIKING TOUR brings us to the hidden MYLI GORGE, an area of wild natural beauty which overwhelms and enchants both local and foreign visitors alike. As almost nobody knows this gorge, we will be able to explore its flora and fauna without being disturbed. The Venetian village of CHROMONASTIRI, will be the cycling starting point for a very enjoyable bicycle downhill ride to the North Coast. This half-day cycling tour begins with a bus transfer to the famous ARKADI monastery. After a tour of the monastery we ride back through the beautiful hinterland of RETHYMNON to ADELE, where we will visit the AGRION TERRA FARM. Here you will get to know traditional farming methods. The cycling tour ends at the bicycle center. Cycling distance : 25 km / incl. 21 km downhill

This is our full cycling program in the prefecture of Rethymnon, Crete. We aim to introduce your holiday resort’s most beautiful cycling areas, using best quality bicycles. The cycling routes follow quiet asphalt roads, with slight ascents and lots of downhill sections.
Please see the cycling program for the length of the cycling tour (in km). You will be taken to the starting points by bus. These cycling programs are easy-to-do because of the “downhill character”: suited for cycling beginners, weekend bikers, families with their children and for all participants who have a limited physical condition.
